The oldest known English apple, dating back to 1200 A.D. A high quality, all-purpose old favorite, especially for fresh use. Widely adapted. Medium to large, round to oval, pale yellow with dull red blush skin. Cream colored flesh is fine-grained, crisp, juicy and aromatic with a rich, subacid sprightly flavor. Good keeper.
